Paramahansa Yogananda was born on Jan 5th, 1893 in Gorakhpur, India and is revered as one of the most important spiritual figures of our time. His "Autobiography of a Yogi" which first appeared in 1946 is considered a landmark work in the field of the ancient science of yoga and meditation.
